Distance range estimation for uniform DEER sampling grids, assuming free electron magnetogyric ratios. The minimum distance is estimated from the Nyquist-Shannon condition on the largest frequency the grid can sample. The maximum distance is obtained from the smallest frequency for which the half-period condition is used.
Syntax
[rmin,rmax]=dist_range(np,tmax)
Arguments
np - number of points in the time grid
tmax - the time (seconds) of the last po-
int in the grid if the first one
is zero
Outputs
rmin - minimum distance supported by the
grid, Angstrom
rmax - maximum distance supported by the
grid, Angstrom
Examples
For a 2 microsecond DEER trace containing 512 points:
>> [rmin,rmax]=dist_range(512,2e-6) rmin = 7.4082 rmax = 59.2655
