N2V- spin system for diamond. Magnetic parameters from Green et al., Phys. Rev. B 92, 165204 (2015), DOI link. The centre has C2v symmetry: the electron g-tensor [2.00345 2.00274 2.00271] is built in the frame with x along [110], y along [001], and z along [1-10], and the two nitrogen sites are related by the C2 rotation about [001], so the second nitrogen tensor is the first one carried through that rotation. The nitrogen hyperfine principal values are [3.47 4.51 4.09] MHz in a frame tilted by 3.5 degrees about [1-10] from the trigonal frame; for 14N these are rescaled by the ratio of the 14N and 15N magnetogyric ratios and accompanied by a quadrupolar tensor of -5.0 MHz built in the [111] frame. When requested, the two reported nearest-neighbour carbons are added with 13C hyperfine principal values [202.3 202.3 317.5] MHz in a frame tilted by 2.0 degrees about [-1-10]. All tensors are rotated by the matrix that aligns the requested crystal plane normal with the magnetic field; quadrupolar tensors go through mat2ias.m and are placed on the diagonal of coupling.matrix.

Syntax

    [sys,inter]=diamond_n2vm(parameters)

Parameters

parameters is a structure with the following required fields:

      .nitrogen - '14N' or '15N'
      .orientation - '111', '110', or '100' crystal plane normal
                      aligned with the magnetic field
      .include_13c - include reported 13C hyperfine couplings,
                      true or false

Outputs

sys - Spinach system specification structure

inter - Spinach interaction specification structure
