R2 self-interstitial spin system for diamond. Magnetic parameters from Hunt et al., Phys. Rev. B 61, 3863 (2000), DOI link. The spin system contains a single spin-1 electron. The g-tensor, with principal values [2.0019 2.0019 2.0021], and the axial zero-field splitting with a magnitude of 4173 MHz are built in a permuted Cartesian frame and are then rotated by the matrix that aligns the requested crystal plane normal with the magnetic field direction. The sign of the zero-field splitting parameter is taken from the .d_sign field, which multiplies D directly, so both signs of D can be studied without editing the function. The zero-field splitting is converted into irreducible spherical form by mat2ias.m before it is placed into the coupling.matrix field.

Syntax

    [sys,inter]=diamond_r2(parameters)

Parameters

parameters is a structure with the following fields:

      .d_sign - sign of D
      .orientation - '111', '110', or '100' crystal plane normal
                      aligned with the magnetic field

Outputs

sys - Spinach system specification structure

inter - Spinach interaction specification structure

Notes

The .d_sign field is validated as a real scalar rather than as a strict sign, so any real multiplier of the tabulated 4173 MHz zero-field splitting is accepted.
