summary_basis.m

Prints basis-set state summary for a Spinach system. This is a service function of the Spinach kernel, called from basis.m; it should not be invoked directly.

The number of states is taken as the number of rows of spin_system.bas.basis. When it exceeds spin_system.tols.basis_hush, the state table is not printed and a message saying so is issued instead. Otherwise a table is produced with a header row of spin numbers and one row per basis state, in which the linear irreducible spherical tensor index of each spin is converted into the (L,M) pair by lin2lm.m and printed in the (L,M) format at a fixed column pitch. The state space dimension and its percentage of the full state space, prod(spin_system.comp.mults)^2, are reported in all cases.

Syntax

    summary_basis(spin_system)

Parameters

spin_system - Spinach spin system description object

Outputs

this function prints to the console or to the user-specified
    output via report.m function
