load_vstore.m

Loads the current parallel pool ValueStore from a Matlab file. The current store is cleared before the saved keys and values are inserted. Callback functions are session-local and are not loaded.

The file is expected to hold the key_set and val_set variables written by save_vstore.m; the function refuses to proceed unless both are present, key_set is a string array, val_set is a cell array, and the two have the same size. It then requires a parallel pool to be already running, obtained with gcp('nocreate'), removes every key currently in that pool ValueStore, and inserts the saved key and value sets in a single put call.

Syntax

    load_vstore(file_name)

Parameters

file_name - a character string specifying the source MAT file

Notes

The pool store is overwritten completely: every key present before the call is removed, whether or not the snapshot contains a key of the same name.
